Job Title: HVAC Technician I Job Description
The HVAC Technician I is responsible for performing maintenance tasks on various equipment and systems within the facility. This includes repairing and maintaining HVAC systems, managing inventory, supporting engineering projects, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance tasks on a wide variety of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handler units, and rooftop units.
Utilize computer skills with tablets to review work orders and communication.
Comfortably work at heights and perform maintenance on rooftop units.
Collaborate with maintenance workers and staff to resolve maintenance problems and coordinate services.
Support the Energy Engineering Department with projects, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
Maintain proficiency with the Building Management Systems and make recommendations for upgrades.
Coordinate inventory of parts and tools kept in stock.
Responsible for maintaining utility equipment, HVAC systems, or process supporting equipment.
Essential Skills
3+ years of industrial HVAC/building maintenance experience.
Ability to maintain a wide variety of HVAC systems.
Proficient computer skills with tablets for reviewing work orders and communication.
Comfortable working at heights and climbing on roofs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Industrial HVAC experience.
Experience with electrical, plumbing, drywall, and sheet metal work.

Work Environment
This role offers shifts to suit different schedules, including 1st shift (6:30 am - 2:30 pm), 2nd shift (2:30 pm - 10:30 pm), and 3rd shift (10:30 pm - 6:30 am) with weekend rotation once or twice a month. Enjoy shift premiums of 10% for 2nd shift and 6% for 3rd shift. The work environment is a multi-million square foot industrial facility, and candidates will work independently or in groups. Steel-toe boots and basic hand tools are required.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $70000.00/yr.
