JOB DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Wait Staff and Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for taking and serving orders at the Pheasant Run Grill. Other main duties include serving refreshments on the course while operating the on-course beverage cart.
EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed.)
- Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
- Responsible for prompt and accurate order taking and serving of food and drink orders.
- Takes orders from and serves food and beverages to customers according to established rules of etiquette.
- Adheres to all sanitation and health regulations and requirements regarding food and beverage service.
- Presents menu to diners, suggests appropriate food and beverage selections as appropriate, and answers questions regarding food and beverage selections.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the dining area and ensuring empty tables/counters are clean and available for seating at all times.
- Responsible for accurate check preparation and cash receipts as required.
- Ensures legal and proper alcohol service procedures are followed according to State regulations.
- Serves on-course refreshments while operating the beverage cart.
- Performs other related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- ServSafe Alcohol Safety certification or equivalent preferred; must be able to obtain certification within 14 days of employment.
- Ability to handle money accurately, conscientiously and honestly.
- Ability to follow directives accurately and thoroughly and work without close supervision.
- Ability to clearly communicate procedures, problems, and policies with fellow employees and the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns, which include, but are not limited to, convictions for reckless driving, careless driving, suspended license, or convictions involving drinking and impaired driving.
- This is an "At-Will" position. Work assignments and hours are scheduled based on availability, division requirements, and within the confines of the budget. Schedules and work hours are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time due to division needs, budgeting constraints and staff availability.

- This is a variable-hour job opportunity. Employee's hours will fluctuate from week to week. Work hours will be determined based on workload and availability. An employee in this position will primarily work during a defined season and may be scheduled to work intermittently during the remainder of the year.
- This is an at-will position. Hours are limited and will vary based on the operational needs of the department. Employees in this position will be classified as variable hour employees.
