Job Title: Banquet Bartender
Job Summary:
Banquet Bartenders serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests at large events or banquets. They must be knowledgeable about beverage recipes, handle cash and credit card transactions, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greeting and Orders:
- Greet patrons warmly and take orders for drinks.
- Ensure all guests are served promptly and professionally.
- Drink Preparation and Service:
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Check identification and refuse service to underage customers.
- Monitor the bar area to ensure responsible consumption of alcohol.
- Cash Handling:
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions securely.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and adhere to sanitary practices.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of banquet functions.
- Restock the bar with supplies as needed.
- Customer Interaction:
- Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring guests have a positive experience.
- Address any guest concerns or special requests promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure all beverages are handled safely and hygienically.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Beverages: Familiarity with beer, wine, liquor, and mixed drink recipes.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills to interact with guests and handle their needs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to prepare drinks accurately and maintain a clean bar area.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Multitasking: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous experience in bartending or food service is beneficial but not required.
