Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business-related field such as marketing, communications, or a related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 5 or more years of military or civilian experience in a similar position will be considered.
- Minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in corporate partnerships, corporate fundraising, sponsorships, development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated history of success securing corporate partnerships, including major gifts and sponsorships at the five- and six-figure level.
- Proven experience in grant fundraising, including research, proposal writing, award management, and reporting.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with senior corporate leaders and philanthropic decision-makers.
- Experience with CRM and fundraising systems; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong commitment to the mission of the VFW National Home and the families it serves.
