Job Description
Under the supervision of the Family Services Director, assists the Family Recovery Court Coordinator and Juvenile Court Officer/DHHS worker in monitoring families in the drug court program. Makes home visits, assists in scheduling and transportation to parenting time, and may assist in the weekly preparation for drug court.
May assist in preparation for and operation of weekly drug court reviews by pulling files, recording information, and attending weekly pre-court meetings and hearings.
May assist entering information into the drug court data base.
May assist in the operation of incentives program by monitoring supplies, preparing weekly supplies, and handing out the incentives.
Assists in the arrangement of appointments and transportation to appointments and therapeutic parenting time.
May visit minors at their schools and provide feedback to the Juvenile Court Officer/DHHS worker.
Makes home visits and provide information to the Juvenile Court Officer/DHHS worker and report on the general condition and functioning of the home as well as the persons residing in the home.
Administers PBT tests and/or substance use tests, and oral mouth swabs.
Assists in maintaining data needed for grant reports, including the collection and organization of receipts, recording data on the rewards program, gathering and recording data on parenting time and time spent in out of home placement.
May testify in court.
Other duties as assigned that relate to the Family Recovery Court.

Education: High School graduation or equivalent, prefer some advanced coursework in social work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or related human services area.Experience: Six months experience working in the social science field.Other Requirements: Valid Michigan Driver’s license.Demonstrates effective communication skills by engaging, interacting and working with all individuals to ensure clarity and understanding in all interactions.(The qualifications listed above are intended to represent the minimum skills and experience levels associated with performing the duties and responsibilities contained in this job description.
