We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance standards. Responsibilities:
Accurately input and update financial data into relevant systems to maintain accurate records.
Organize and manage both physical and electronic filing systems for seamless document retrieval.
Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a respectful and considerate workplace.
Assist with tax preparation processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite tools to scan, categorize, and manage electronic documents efficiently.
Perform data entry tasks with speed and precision to support financial operations.
Handle bank transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers with attention to detail.
Support government filings and compliance tasks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Sort and process incoming mail to maintain organized workflows.
Manage and maintain databases to ensure accurate and reliable information storage.
Requirements - Proven experience in data entry with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with tax preparation processes and compliance requirements.
Ability to efficiently sort and process incoming mail to support organizational needs.
Expertise in electronic file management and document categorization.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including document scanning and management.
Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance and punctuality.
Knowledge of government filings and compliance processes is preferred.
Experience working with database technologies to support accurate recordkeeping.
