Job Title: Material Handler Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will ensure continuous production by supplying raw materials to production machines and removing finished products to the wash and packaging departments. You will operate Hi-lo and pallet jacks to move parts through the manufacturing process, load and unload customer and company trucks, and transport parts to and from the Inspection Department. Maintaining housekeeping and verifying incoming and outgoing materials to assure both quantity and quality are also key parts of this role.
Responsibilities
Provide production machines with raw materials to ensure continuous production.
Remove finished products from machines and transport to wash and packaging departments.
Operate Hi-lo and pallet jack to move parts through the manufacturing process.
Load and unload trucks as needed.
Transport parts to and from the Inspection Department.
Maintain housekeeping standards.
Verify incoming and outgoing materials for quantity and quality assurance.
Essential Skills
2 years of sit-down hilo experience in a manufacturing facility.
Experience in manufacturing, not distribution/logistics.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience stocking the line with raw goods.
8 months or more of tenure in previous roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in operating Hi-lo, forklift, and handling materials.
Experience with inventory, RF scanners, order pulling, and forklift operations.

Work Environment
The work environment features a facility with dim lighting and minimal noise from newer machinery, although the parts machined are large. The entire facility was recently cleaned. The dress code requires oil-resistant or steel-toed shoes, no cutoffs, forward-worn hats only, and no loose clothing. Enjoy a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and a 20-minute paid break. Shifts are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays and Sundays if needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
