Help local manufacturing companies reduce energy waste—without high-pressure sales or long hours.
Energy Design Engineers (EDE) is a Michigan-based engineering firm (est. 2008) that helps manufacturing companies reduce energy waste and obtain higher utility rebates. This job will sell our LED lighting solutions and compressed air efficiency audits.
We want to hire full-time and/or part-time individuals who enjoy talking with people, visiting facilities, and helping Michigan-based companies remain competitive by lowering their operating costs.

You will:
- Talk with local manufacturing and industrial facilities
- Introduce utility-funded lighting and compressed air programs
- Set up site walk-throughs for EDE’s engineering team
- Help customers understand rebates and next steps
-No engineering work.
-No high-pressure selling.

Compensation & Schedule:
-$25.00 per hour
-Mileage reimbursement (50¢/mile)
-Commission
-Performance bonuses for completed projects
-Typical schedule: Full Time and Part Time (15–20 hours per week)
-Retirees welcome for Part-Time positions. We currently have three part-time seniors on our team.
What Makes This An Attractive Sale to the End User:
- Many projects are 50% paid for by utilities (high rebates)
- Some projects and audits are 100% utility-paid
- Our customers' energy costs have risen 15 - 25% over the past three years, some markets, even higher.
- EDE handles engineering, incentives, and paperwork. We have a complete back office that manages these areas.
You open the door—gather data, and we do the rest.
