Job Summary
KM International is seeking a long-term, qualified, and motivated account manager to join our sales team. We are looking for a professional with sales experience that can quickly/effectively learn construction type equipment. The successful candidate will receive hands on training and can continue to learn as they become more acclimated to the job function. This position is for the Michigan territory and could expand into others. This inside/outside sales position has a base salary along with a very competitive commission structure.
Responsibilities
- Sell asphalt maintenance equipment to municipalities, contractors and institutions.
- Establish, build and nurture customer relationships.
- Answer sales calls, make calls, send emails and set appointments.
- Scheduling appointments to sell equipment is the priority .
- Haul/tow equipment using company vehicles to give product demonstrations.
- Prepare quotes, provide specs and follow-up on pricing.
- Provide hands-on training for customers after the sale as needed.
- Own and grow the Michigan territory in alignment with personal and corporate goals.
- Actively seek new business opportunities and generate sales leads.
- Perform follow-up communication with customers to get new/replacement sales.
- Attend trade shows and conference events when required.
- Provide customer feedback to management for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales reports to management.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range of $40K to $50K + Uncapped Commission
Requirements and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-Motivated, goal oriented and eager to make money.
- Possesses a technical and mechanical mindset.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
- Works well in a team and is able to professionally collaborate.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Internet proficiency.
- Ability to track and report sales on a monthly basis using CRM system.
- Able to manage time and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Comprehensive understanding of the sales process.
- At least 2 years of relevant sales experience is preferred.
- General construction equipment knowledge is preferred.
- Local, State and Federal government selling knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
Pay Range: $40,000 to $200,000. Base pay plus commission.
