Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Reports To: Director of Nursing (DON)

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families, and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Skilled Nursing team in Frankenmuth. In this role, you will provide high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while supporting seniors in your local community.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care that promotes resident rights, dignity, individuality, and freedom of choice.
- Conduct daily resident visits to observe, assess, and document physical and emotional status.
- Receive shift reports and provide clear, accurate handoff communication to oncoming staff.
- Communicate with physicians, medical teams, residents, and families regarding changes in condition, lab results, admissions, falls, or injuries.
- Report changes in condition, abnormal lab results, and incidents to physicians and responsible parties as required.
- Receive, implement, and document physician orders and update care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with medication and stop-order policies.
- Follow all safety and infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and use of PPE.
- Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing (required).
- Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience preferred (home health, medical, surgical, or critical care).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to compassionate care.
Schedule and Compensation
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Schedule: Night shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am).
- Pay rate: $37.40 – $40.65/hour, based on licensure.
- Night shift differential: $5.00/hour.
