PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in promoting and enhancing the visibility of SVRC Industries, Inc. and its subsidiaries with a specific focus on the SVRC Marketplace as a premier small business incubator hub and shopping experience. This individual will lead efforts to attract and retain tenants, promote tenant businesses, engage the community by developing and implementing marketing strategies tailored to small businesses, and attract clients to SVRC Industries' other programs. Reporting to the Marketplace Director, the Marketing Specialist will manage branding, communications, and customer/client and community engagement initiatives, ensuring the organization is positioned as a dynamic and supportive environment for entrepreneurial growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Marketing Strategy and Execution

Develop and implement marketing campaigns to attract small business tenants/vendors and clients for offered programs.

Create promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, highlighting the benefits of the Marketplace and its vendors, the Westlund Guidance Clinic, and SVRC Industries Vocational Rehab Program.

Promote food and retail vendors within the Marketplace to increase foot traffic and sales.

Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance to optimize efforts.
Community Awareness and Engagement

Increase community awareness of SVRC Industries, Inc. with a specific focus on the Marketplace and its vendors through targeted advertising, social media, and local outreach.

Develop campaigns to promote events, sales, and new offerings from Marketplace vendors.

Partner with local organizations and media outlets to highlight tenant businesses and their contributions to the local economy.
Event Coordination and Promotion

Assist the Marketplace Director to plan and promote events, such as vendor showcases, festivals, and community gatherings, to drive engagement and foot traffic.

Collaborate with vendors to organize and advertise special promotions and activities within the Marketplace.

Develop and execute seasonal marketing plans to align with community events and holidays.
Brand Management

Ensure consistent branding across all marketing channels, including print, web, and social media for all entities while ensuring the integrity of each vendor's or program's branding.

Build and maintain a strong online presence, updating the website and managing social media platforms.
Tenant Engagement and Support

Foster relationships with current and prospective tenants by organizing networking events, workshops, and informational sessions.

Provide guidance to tenants on marketing best practices to help them grow their businesses.
Content Creation and Public Relations

Develop press releases, newsletters, and blog posts to showcase SVRC Industries, Inc. and its subsidiaries with a specific focus on the Marketplace and tenant/vendor successes, upcoming events, and updates.

Pitch stories to local media outlets to increase public awareness of the Marketplace and its offerings.

Develop, create, and publish the SVRC Industries, Inc. Annual Report.
Administrative Support

Maintain a database of prospective tenants/vendors and community partners, and track outreach efforts.

Assist in budget planning for marketing activities and ensure cost-effective strategies are implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's or Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, preferred.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies that have resulted in increased brand recognition and business sales.

Proficiency in using social media platforms and graphic design software.

Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools to track marketing performance.
