Design, implement, and maintain a centralized client and matter database for an immigration law practice; create and manage tables for clients, matters, filings, deadlines, dependents, billing items, and documents, defining primary and foreign keys, constraints, and core indexes; build operational SQL views and queries to power dashboards and reports covering upcoming filing deadlines and expirations, case tracking and aging, workload by attorney and paralegal, and retainer balance checks; develop data entry standards and validation rules to improve data quality and reduce duplicates; configure automated alerts and calendar feeds for critical dates and status changes; perform routine backups, restores, and basic performance tuning with change control and SOP documentation; implement role based access controls, audit logs, encryption, and data retention procedures to safeguard confidential client information and support legal hold requirements; integrate the database with office productivity tools for email, calendar, and document storage to streamline intake, tasking, and document management.
