Job Description

This position is a blend of front-line student support and departmental administrative tasks. Manage student employee team. Support phone/email/in-person contact with students, faculty, staff and guests. Schedule advising appointments. Coordinate advising processes for New Student Orientation, including mandatory attendance at each program. Manage departmental budget and accounting functions, including student payroll. Execute administrative processes such as changing student majors, assigning advising caseloads and departmental audits.

Additional Requirements

High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years progressively responsible office experience, including direct experience in office coordination, i.e., prioritizing work assignments, maintaining work flow to meet deadlines.
Ability to compose correspondence.
Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Ability to effectively interact with the public, students, faculty and staff.
Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and punctuation and ability to utilize proper standard office source manuals.
Experience in clerical accounting/bookkeeping.
Ability to work under pressure.
