Anderson’s Glen Arbor Market, Inc d/b/a Anderson’s Market located in Glen Arbor, MI has opening for 1 full time temporary Evening Supervisors, $23.81/hr to $25.00/hr ($35.72/hr to $37.50/hr O.T.) from 5/15/2026 through 10/31/2026. Duties: Supervise evening store activities including closing procedures, breaks, and shift transitions. Secure cash drawers at close, monitor and maintain store cleanliness, safety, and merchandising standards, ensure accurate cash handling, correct register mistakes, address and resolve operational issues promptly. Lead and motivate evening team members to meet performance goals, assign tasks and monitor productivity throughout the shift, assist in training new employees and provide ongoing coaching. Handle minor disciplinary actions and escalate major issues. Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints professionally, support staff in managing difficult transactions or customer interactions, oversee product returns, ensure customer satisfaction and a welcoming store atmosphere, assist with and oversee restocking and inventory checks during evening hours, ensure promotional displays are accurate and appealing, report inventory discrepancies and assist with loss prevention. Perform all other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors.
3 months’ Cashier experience required. Supervisory experience is not required but preferred. Must be able to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, be able to lift up to 50#, ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions such as scanning, stocking, and bagging.
The specific days and hours of work may vary depending on staffing and business levels at the Market but will generally be 5 days per week: Sunday/Monday 3pm - 11pm or 4pm - 12am, Tuesday/Wednesday OFF, Thursday-Saturday 12pm - 8pm. Approximately 40 hours per week with some overtime possible. The business is open 7 days per week, and weekend and holiday work will be required.

Workers are paid every two weeks. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law, as well as housing deduction, but will make no other deductions.
Work tools, supplies and equipment will be provided without charge or deposit. Raises and bonuses may be available based on performance or length of service with the employer. Free meal and beverage during shift, Associate discount on select product. Discretionary performance bonus. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
If required by prevailing law the employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees) incurred by the worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
The employer has a limited number of shared housing units available for rent by seasonal workers at a cost to the worker of $125.00 per week. Use of employer provided housing is not a condition of employment. If a worker rents housing from the employer, the employee will be asked to agree to have the rent deducted from their biweekly pay.
Employer does not provide transportation to and from work location during the term of employment. We do have a few vehicles that will be available for their use with valid driving credentials.
