As an ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) Production Supervisor here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will impact the success of Solstice by driving production performance, enhancing team capabilities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
You will report directly to our Sr Production Supervisor and will work out of our Muskegon, MI location on 1st shift. 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday, 5:30a-2p.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Operations
Serve as Incident Commander during emergenciesLead team associates to meet or exceed goals in safety, quality, production, housekeeping, and cost
Coordinate daily work assignments with production scheduler and team leaders
Provide new employee orientation and support Team Leaders with onboarding
Ensure process support and coverage for on-coming shift and team Leader absences
Participate in weekend inspections and handle special projects as assigned
Alternate weekend supervisor coverage with other supervisors and Team Leaders
Compliance and Safety
Maintain oversight of HSE compliance and required training completion within the departments
Ensure all waste generated is managed according to regulations and audited daily
Follow SOPs for RCRA hazardous waste accumulation, including waste compatibility, inventory management, container closure, and labeling
Write incident reports for injuries or spills
Administrative
Maintain electronic files for attendance, reviews, discipline, and recognition
Become proficient in Documentum, SAP, Goods receipt process, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Supervision, Team Development, and Coordination
Manage workforce to ensure adequate staffing levels
Drive attendance and reinforce positive work habits
Motivate Team Leaders and operators using effective feedback techniques
Communicate expectations clearly and instill urgency to meet team goals
Address employee concerns promptly and conduct performance reviews on schedule
Build team strengths while maintaining positive employee relations and adherence to company policies
Maintain strong communication with all associates
Collaborate daily with team management, schedulers, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
Demonstrated leadership ability with strong influence and guidance skills
Effective problem-solving skills in a team environment
Adaptability to changing roles, responsibilities, and priorities
WE VALUE
Minimum of 3 years of chemical manufacturing experience preferred
Experience managing shop operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities
Working knowledge of PSM initiatives
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and fact-based decision-making
Familiarity with ISO 9001 systems

COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this position is 88k-105k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
