Eddy Insurance Agency is a locally owned Farm Bureau Insurance office based in Lansing, Michigan. As a one-person agency preparing for growth, we are seeking a motivated Sales Producer who is eager to build a book of business and grow alongside the agency.
This role is ideal for a driven self-starter who enjoys relationship-building, community engagement, and long-term career growth in the insurance industry.
Position Overview
The Sales Producer will be responsible for creating and developing their own book of business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and community involvement. This position does not include an existing book of business.
Farm Bureau provides a structured training program for new candidates, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals new to insurance sales who are willing to learn and put in the effort to succeed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed monthly base salary for the first year OR earned commission -whichever is higher

Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for new clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, and community involvement
- Build and manage a personal book of business
- Conduct needs-based consultations and recommend appropriate Farm Bureau insurance products
- Educate clients on auto, home, life, and other insurance offerings
- Build and maintain strong client relationships focused on retention
- Meet or exceed sales and production goals
- Maintain accurate records and follow all compliance requirements
- Represent Eddy Insurance Agency and Farm Bureau Insurance professionally in the Lansing community
