Special Education Teacher - High School (Co-Taught Classroom)
Schedule: 35 hrs/week | 7:15 AM-2:45 PM (30-min break)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: School Year (Approx. 5 Months)
Position Overview Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality services to students in grades K-12, with this opening focused on high school . Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will collaborate in a co-taught classroom environment , supporting individualized instruction, IEP implementation, and consultation with general education staff. Key Responsibilities
Provide special education services in a collaborative, co-teaching setting
Support academic instruction, tutorial assistance, and specialized interventions
Participate in IEP development and implementation (IEP experience strongly preferred)
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support student success
Manage a caseload of approximately 14-16 students
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education Endorsement (required)
Experience in a teaching environment (preferred)
CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate as required
Must meet all federal, state, and district requirements
Minimum age: 18
Additional Information
Co-teaching with a general education instructor
Only fully certified Special Education Teachers will be considered
