In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate order fulfillment and inventory control within a fast-paced environment.
As a Shorter/Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Sorting & Organizing: Sort incoming and outgoing products using scanners and manual techniques to ensure correct placement.
- Inventory Management: Scan and record item details to maintain accurate inventory counts and updated stock levels.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damages during sorting to meet quality standards.
- Labeling: Apply proper labels to products and packages for easy tracking and retrieval.
- Packing & Shipping: Prepare items for shipment by packing, labeling, and weighing packages according to company standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to improve processes and ensure smooth operations.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in packing, shipping, or receiving preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing/walking tasks.
