Job Summary
The Team Leader, Facilities collaboratively leads Sun's facilities team members to ensure Sun's work environment meets the ongoing and growing needs of the Sun team. The position directly ensures Sun's offices are in a clean and orderly condition and maintains responsibility for all physical aspects of Sun's corporate offices. The Team Leader, Facilities ensures the front office operation is seamlessly executed by the facilities team and completes ad-hoc requests for the office.
Job Duties
Constantly monitors floors/suites, proactively identifies issues and opportunities, solicits team member feedback, and works with their leader to address all items. (Essential)
Leads the facilities team, directly overseeing team members; assigns daily tasks, priorities, and cleaning routes to team. (Essential)
Acts as the ultimate steward of Sun's corporate facilities, ensuring they're maintained at the highest level. (Essential)
Submits, tracks and follows-up on facilities and maintenance work orders; communicates and coordinates directly with property management, vendors and internal team members to ensure all service-related items are addressed timely and appropriately. (Essential)
Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail; collects outgoing mail for transfer to post office/delivery services. (Essential)
Accepts outside deliveries from logistics companies and ensures deliveries are taken to respective team members. (Essential)
Maintains office equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting failures, calling for repairs, and monitoring equipment operation. (Essential)
Ensures conference rooms, fitness center, kitchens, and common areas remain clean, presentable, and organized, and adequate supply levels are maintained. (Essential)
Ensures hotel desks/offices are cleaned daily and remain presentable for use. (Essential)
Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to execute various team member and work environment improvement projects.
Maintains all office and kitchen supplies by checking inventory, placing orders, and stocking items.
Coordinates workspace moves, resets, and layout changes with the team.
Assists Events team with the set-up and tear-down of meetings and events.
Greets customers and guests entering the lobby area; answers questions, route them to the appropriate individual(s), and provide exceptional customer service.
Serves team members by backing up baristas to take and prepare beverage orders while maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.
Performs print/copy/mail tasks and projects.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
4 years in facilities or administrative support experience (Required)
2 years in customer service experience (Required)
1 year in supervisory experience (Required)
Extensive knowledge of building maintenance functions
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to understand and carry-out verbal and written instructions
Knowledge of standard methods and practices of janitorial duties
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to follow safety procedures while performing duties
Ability to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations with tact, discretion and maintain confidentiality
Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email and internet
Must have a valid driver's license
Demonstrated ability to motivate and train staff
Ability to at least lift 50 pounds
