Responsible for planning activities regarding the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products; lead launch activities from a quality perspective, conduct problem solving strategies, drive continuous improvement efforts related to customer satisfaction and quality improvement, maintain all aspects of QS/TS guidelines, and handle multiple quality related projects simultaneously; develop and maintain operator work instructions for work conducted on production lines; establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities; develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation; devise sampling procedures, and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data; develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, and devise methods to assess cost and responsibility; lead workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability; utilize PPAP, APQP, IATF16949, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, PFMEA, GD&T, and MINITAB to perform duties; assist the Quality Technicians/Quality Engineers in conducting root cause analysis for quality issues; work closely with internal and external customers to troubleshoot problems; coordinate new product introduction; issue Quality Problem Notice (QPN) to suppliers on quality issues, and coordinate supplier and customer containment activities; develop root cause and corrective actions to customer problems, and provide updates to customers in a timely manner; provide monthly report to Quality Manager, which includes supplier receipts, supplier PPM, customer shipped quantities, and supplier and customer issues; provide monthly scrap information by compiling information from rejects in the quarantine area; and interface with the customer and suppliers as it relates to enhancing customer satisfaction and cost reduction.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Design Engineer, as an Industrial Engineer, as a Quality Engineer, or in a related occupation;
