Job Title: Carpenters (Framing)
Number of Positions Available: 7
Job Duties:
We are seeking 7 Carpenters (Framing) to perform structural framing tasks for residential and commercial construction projects. Duties include installation of wood and metal framing components for walls, floors, and roofs in accordance with blueprints and construction plans.
Work Location:
Work will be performed in the following counties in Michigan: Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Osceola, Benzie, Missaukee, Charlevoix, and Wexford Counties, including but not limited to Traverse City, Mayfield, Maple City, and Acme.
Period of Intended Employment:
June 9, 2026 through February 9, 2027
Wage Offer:
$27.51 to $28.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly
Overtime Availability:
No overtime available
Work Hours / Standard Workweek:
Work hours will vary but are expected to be full-time. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
Experience / Education Requirements:
Workers must have at least 1 month of experience in carpentry. No minimum education requirement.
On-the-Job Training:
On-the-job training will be provided as needed.
Transportation:
The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite.
If transportation between multiple worksites is required during the workday, the employer will provide or pay for such transportation at no cost to the worker.
Housing:
Housing is not provided. Workers are responsible for securing and paying for their own housing.
Inbound Transportation and Subsistence:
If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide or reimburse transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer.
Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day to a maximum of $68.00 per day, in accordance with U.S. Department of Labor regulations.
Outbound Transportation and Subsistence:
Upon completion of the work contract period, or if the worker is dismissed early by the employer, the employer will provide or pay for return transportation and daily subsistence.
Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day to a maximum of $68.00 per day, in accordance with U.S. Department of Labor regulations.
Deductions:
The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law.
Tools and Equipment:
The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no cost to the worker.
Three-Fourths Guarantee:
The employer guarantees to offer employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period, in accordance with 20 CFR § 655.20(f).
Visa Fee Reimbursement:
The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees required for obtaining H-2B status, except for passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker.
