Responsibilities and Impact:
The Portfolio Management Lead for the Digital Services Business Operations Organization plays a pivotal role in driving IT strategy, portfolio management, and governance across the enterprise. This leader ensures all digital initiatives, projects, and investments are strategically aligned, prioritized, and resourced to deliver maximum impact. The Portfolio Manager establishes and maintains robust documentation, reporting, and governance frameworks, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Portfolio Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end management of the Digital Services portfolio, including intake, prioritization, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain "gameplans" and detailed IT roadmaps that outline priorities, initiatives, and alignment with the organization's 5-year strategic plan.
Governance Framework: Establish and maintain a governance framework and processes for portfolio management, project oversight, and decision-making.
Dashboard Reporting: Develop dashboards for real-time visibility into portfolio health, key metrics, and progress against strategic objectives.
Resource Mapping: Map staffing and assignments to systems and projects, providing a clear overview of resource allocation, costs, and impact.
Performance Monitoring: Track, monitor, and evaluate the performance of projects and portfolio efforts against established KPIs and strategic goals.
Prioritization & Decision Support: Facilitate prioritization and decision-making processes, ensuring that projects are selected and executed based on strategic importance, resource availability, risk, and impact.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing portfolio management best practices and supporting change management initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing and collaborative global team by providing mentorship, professional development opportunities, and fostering a culture of engagement, innovation, and continuous learning.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Leadership Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in portfolio management, program management, or IT strategy within a complex, global digital or technology-driven organization.
Transformation Leadership: Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional digital transformation initiatives and managing multi-million-dollar portfolios.
Strategic & Governance Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in establishing and governing IT strategy, organizational design, governance frameworks, and long-term planning.
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong track record in executive-level stakeholder engagement, influencing C-suite leaders, and driving strategic alignment across diverse business units.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in portfolio management and collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and executive dashboarding tools).
Resource & Investment Management: Deep understanding of resource allocation models, investment tracking, risk management, performance measurement, and best practices for documentation and reporting.
Analytical & Leadership Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
Decision-Making Facilitation: Experience facilitating executive decision-making, prioritization, and change management at the enterprise level.
Education & Certifications: Certifications in portfolio, program, or project management (PfMP, PMP, PgMP, ITIL, Agile, etc.) strongly preferred.

This role requires onsite presence three or more days a week in our Centreville, VA, Southfield, MI or Columbia, MO location
