In this role as a Supply Chain Analyst (Project Materials), you will be responsible for a broad range of duties related to inventory management and the oversight of products and materials, including ensuring corporate deadlines are met. You also will communicate with suppliers and shipping companies to ensure that all critical deliveries arrive at their assigned project destinations on time.
We need a detail-oriented, customer-focused, results-driven, adaptable, and committed individual to effectively communicate with suppliers, coupled with strong time management skills ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
Communicate pending delivery delays to the project management teams and work with internal and external cross functional teams to support getting deliveries to their destinations as soon as possible
Run the Project DCL reports weekly and provide updates to the project teams with accurate status updates
Partner with suppliers to ensure timely delivery while resolving invoice and project material issues
Utilize and maintain the Project Material Tracker
Expedite project materials based on changes to lead time, material demand or stocking strategies, and follow up on all expedites daily
Daily collaboration with cross-functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within project management, purchasing, logistics, and manufacturing groups
Coordinate and document project order shipments to third party suppliers
Oversee inventory validation and manufacturing floor readiness for project builds
Prepare ad hoc reports, as necessary using Excel (or any other necessary programs)
Develop, suggest, and implement initiatives with KPI's that support commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction and improve organizational performance
Work overtime when required to meet special/critical deadlines
Travel (~20%) to support department and customer needs as necessary
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience
1+ year of experience in material controls, logistics, industrial, or customer service position within automation or application industries
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Basic understanding of MRP and inventory control
Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license
Must be able to drive throughout a regional area for business
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in related field
Experience in machine tools or a related industry
2+ years of experience in automation or applications industries
1+ years of material controls, logistics, industrial, or customer service experience
Oracle experience
