Fastemps is seeking Medical Assistants to join the University of Michigan’s. This position is available for immediate start. The Medical Assistant (MA) provides both clinical and administrative support to physicians and staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties

Prepare patients for exams and procedures

Take and record vital signs and medical histories
-
Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures
-
Administer medications and injections per physician direction and state regulations
-
Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens
-
Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
-
Follow infection control and safety procedures
Administrative Duties
-
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
-
Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR)
-
Handle phone calls, patient inquiries, and prescription refills
-
Process referrals, prior authorizations, and medical forms
-
Verify insurance information and assist with billing documentation
Qualifications:
Required
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
-
CPR/BLS certification
-
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
Preferred
-
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting

Experience with EHR systems
