Job Summary:
Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision. Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment. Must work with a high degree of accuracy. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. You will be operating a molding machine to cast aluminum castings.
Responsibilities
- Operate molding machines in a safe manner at all times
- Monitor equipment in your area of responsibility for adverse conditions and advise supervision of these conditions, if machine is running correct STOP and get help
- Promote and maintain high productivity levels within your area of responsibility
- Complete necessary record keeping in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain effective communication with subordinates, peers and supervisors
- Keep mold sprayed correctly
- Visually inspect castings
- Apply cast date where and when applicable
- Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor
- Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
- When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job

Academic Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Make sure machine is running at rate if the machine is not be sure to report to leadership
- Fill out appropriate paper work and white boards or MES system accurately and on time
- Communicate problem areas as soon as possible
- Touch up coating where and when applicable
- Pick up part and inspect for defects
- The job works in conditions with constant exposure (67% or more) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc. Occasional overnight travel is required.
