Your key responsibilities:
- Complete a full patient intake in Athena (EMR), including vital signs and detailed medical histories, to assist providers with the diagnosis and treatments plans
- Get EKG on all patients
- Respond to patient inquiries within our EMR or via phone and document your response
- Help with our various clinics – Pacer clinic, Monitor clinics, Rehab
- Authorize drug refills
- Help with pre ops and cardiac clearances
- Make sure all records are obtained in the chart prior to the physician seeing the patient
Preferred:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- One year experience working in a medical setting
- Experience with Athena EMR a plus (not required)
- Knowledge of Cardiac Medications is a plus (not required)
Pay Range:
$18.50-$22.00 per hour
