Job Overview
We are seeking a Receiving & Inventory Assistant who is reliable, detail-oriented, and organized. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring smooth receiving processes, and supporting purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Organize and store materials in designated inventory locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Support purchasing by preparing and tracking supply orders.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding deliveries and discrepancies.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, inventory systems).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Required Knowledge
- Understanding of inventory control principles.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
Abilities
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
