We are seeking an experienced Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our Property Management team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, inspection, and maintenance of commercial building systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and comfortable working across a variety of building systems in an active portfolio.
Complete daily work orders including minor plumbing, carpentry, light electrical repairs, and lighting maintenance
Perform routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, pump, and HVAC systems
Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and longevity
Maintain accurate operating logs and document deficiencies, repairs, and unusual conditions
Assist with developing and improving preventative maintenance procedures
Maintain common areas and general grounds upkeep
Respond to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
Perform other general maintenance duties as needed
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of experience in general building maintenance; commercial real estate experience preferred
Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver's license required; company service van provided
Basic hand tools required; specialty tools supplied by Friedman
