Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Wellspring Skilled Nursing and Rehab – Frankenmuth
Reports to: Nursing Supervisor / Director of Nursing (DON)

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families, and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing and rehab team at our Frankenmuth campus. In this role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care while supporting residents’ dignity, independence, and overall well-being in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to residents in a manner that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality.
- Conduct daily resident visits to observe, assess, and document physical and emotional status.
- Receive shift reports from off-going nurses and provide clear, accurate handoff communication to oncoming staff.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, medical teams, residents, and families regarding changes in condition, abnormal lab results, new admissions, falls, or injuries.
- Report changes in condition, abnormal laboratory results, and incidents to the physician and responsible party as required.
- Receive, implement, and document physician orders and update residents’ care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications accurately and on schedule in accordance with medication and stop-order policies.
- Follow all safety and infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene, glove use, and disposal of soiled materials.
- Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing.
- Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred (home health, medical, surgical, or critical care).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to compassionate, resident-focused care.
Schedule and Compensation
- Employment type: Full-time
- 12-hour shifts on Night Shift: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am
- Starting pay: $37.40 – $40.65/hour, based on experience and licensure.
- Night Shift Differential: $5.00/hour.
