Job Summary

The Sweetest Clean is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial/Custodial Staff to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary both commercial and residential properties for our clients throughout Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. This role includes hands-on cleaning, quality inspections, equipment upkeep, inventory control, and infection prevention support. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform routine and deep cleaning of facilities and work sites, including floors, furniture, restrooms, and common areas

· Select appropriate cleaning materials, chemicals, and methods based on surface type and manufacturer guidelines

· Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client specifications

· Evaluate facility conditions to identify required cleaning, sanitation, or maintenance needs

· Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed

· Operate, inspect, and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure proper and safe functioning

· Support infection prevention efforts by following established sanitation and disinfection protocols

· Respond to service concerns or complaints and take corrective action when necessary

· Recommend improvements to cleaning processes, service quality, or operational efficiency

· Coordinate or report maintenance needs to appropriate personnel

· Accurately document work hours, tasks completed, and service activities

Qualifications & Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred

· Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and safety procedures

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Strong attention to detail and reliability

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

· Must be able to pass a background check

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Comfortable working with cleaning equipment and supplies
