Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides to provide high-quality, in-home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and committed to helping clients maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide mobility assistance and transfers as needed
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when required
- Perform light housekeeping duties (laundry, cleaning client areas, dishwashing)
- Remind clients to take medications (no administration unless certified)
- Monitor and report changes in client condition to the supervisor or care coordinator
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
- Maintain accurate visit notes and documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous home care or caregiving experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active CHAMPS ID (Michigan Medicaid)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Ability to lift, bend, and assist clients safely
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
