Job Overview
We are currently looking for a 1st and 2nd Shift Manual Welder to join our team in Holland.
Schedule: 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday. OT schedule: 4:00am-2:000pm and Saturday schedule as needed from 6:00am-2:00pm
Schedule: 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday. OT schedule: 2:00pm-12:00am, Monday-Friday and potential Saturdays from 2:00pm-10:00pm
Performs setups and manual welds to produce high quality welded components.
Essential Functions
Sets up and calibrates all equipment, and adjusts welding parameters as required for proper operation.
Produces components according to schedule and/or direction. Performs welds for custom and/or multiple components according to blueprints. Follows and applies specific dimensions, applications and welding techniques utilizing various fixtures.
Performs first piece and other required inspections per engineering print specifications.
Performs preventive maintenance, changes welding tips, and cleans welding equipment.
Picks and moves materials, skids, and pinracks.
Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
Works overtime as needed.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Do you meet these qualifications?
EDUCATION
8th grade
WORK REQUIREMENTS and EXPERIENCE
Two years manufacturing experience OR one year Haworth manufacturing experience.
MIG welding experience required. Working knowledge of computerized welding equipment helpful.
Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck certification.
ENVIRONMENTAL and PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Large machinery and equipment used in work areas. Possibility of cuts, scrapes or bruises.
Moderate exposure to dust, noise, solvent, heat, paint, and lubricants. May also be exposed to glue, solvent, heat, paint, fiberglass, and denatured alcohol.
Constant mental and visual alertness required to avoid potential serious injury to self and others in all work groups.
Eye protection required; hearing protection may be required.
Moves and may lift materials and/or products weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally more (assistance given with heavier objects).
Walks, bends, twists, turns, reaches and lifts while performing functions of position.
Standing required for extended periods.
Work requires regular repetitive arm and hand movement.
May be required to climb stairs and ladders.
Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for the position. required.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
Ability to weld.
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Strong math aptitude.
