Delamar Hotel & Resort, LLC d/b/a Delamar Traverse City has opening for 11 full time temporary Housekeepers, $18.50/hr to $19.00/hr ($27.75/hr to $28.50/hr O.T.)from 4/1/2026 to 10/31/2026. Responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms and common spaces, in order to provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for guests. Duties include: Always recognize and warmly greet hotel guests whenever encountered within the hotel; Attend daily department briefing sessions to receive the daily room assignments, special notices, general hotel information, and any activities that are going on; Stock and sort supplies for the housekeeping closets and carts; Perform nightly turndown service; Vacuum, clean, dust and polish guest rooms and common spaces to hotel standards; Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries; Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests; such as rollaway and/or microwaves; Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets / flipping mattresses) as required; Distribute supplies utensils, and portable equipment; Practice the correct use and care of all items of equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, carts, etc.; Ensure that the hallways, stairways, and corridors are kept free of any obstructions; Ensure that any equipment used is properly secured and re-stocked at the end of the shift; Ensure all dirty linens have made it to laundry, and never left in hallways; Ensure that the allocated room assignments of the day are completed; Ensure that your daily assigned keys, pagers, and completed paperwork have been turned into your Supervisor or Manager at the end of your shift. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and the level of business but will generally be 5 days per week with rotating days off with 2 shifts available, one from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and one from 4:00 pm to 1:00 am approximately 40 hours per week with some overtime. The business is open 7 days a week. Weekend work will be required. The work location is 615 E. Front Street; Traverse City, MI.
Housekeepers may receive tips directly from guests and the housekeeping staff are eligible for the Service Fee Distribution; which is added to their checks each pay period.

Workers are paid every two weeks. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law but will make no other deductions. Workers earn 1 hour of PTO per 30 hours worked. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business. Workers will be eligible for Employee Recognition Programs and will receive one free meal per shift. Work tools, supplies and equipment will be provided without charge or deposit.
If required by prevailing law the employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees) incurred by the worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
The employer has a limited number of housing units available for rent by seasonal workers at a cost to the worker of $600 per month for a single occupancy room or $400 per month for a shared room. A $200.00 housing security deposit is required, $150 is refundable pending no damage and $50 will be retained as a cleaning fee. Use of company housing is not a condition of employment.
The Employer will provide a no cost shuttle service to and from the company housing.
This job order, including its wage and working terms and conditions, is contingent upon prevailing legal interpretations of federal H-2B immigration and FLSA employment law, including Department of Labor and Department of Homeland Security regulations. If any such prevailing law is rescinded, superseded, vacated, or substantially modified, then the employer will accordingly revise any affected term.
