Michigan Allied Lawn & Landscape Inc. is seeking to fill EIGHT (8) Groundskeeper (37-3011.00 - Landscaping and Groundskeeping Workers) temporary, full-time Peakload positions for April 1, 2026, to November 30, 2026. Worksite: 47097 Ryan Road, Shelby Township, MI 48317, and multiple sites in Macomb, Oakland, St Clair, and Wayne counties in MI.
Job Duties: Landscaping workers will perform a variety of landscape and landscape maintenance duties, including installing mulch, plants, and shrubs, trimming bushes and shrubs, mowing lawns, blowing leaves, edging, and weeding. May drive crew vehicle. No driver’s license is required as a condition of employment for the position. If the prospective worker already possesses a standard, noncommercial driver’s license, they may be asked to drive a vehicle to job sites, as needed.
Requirements: No education, training, or experience required.
Special Requirements: Must lift/carry up to 75 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights and overtime during emergencies and storm conditions. Must be able to perform manual, physical labor outside during all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
Terms and conditions of employment: $19.93 to $25.00. Overtime available at $29.90 to $37.50 per hour 35 hours/ Week - Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employees will be paid weekly on Friday. On the job training is available. Raises or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors, including work performance, skill, and tenure. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
Other benefits provided and cost: The employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and no others without written consent from worker. The employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Potential elective deductions to be pre-authorized in writing if applicable are as follows: if needed, employer will assist in arranging optional worker-paid lodging for hired foreign and non-local U.S. workers. Employer will deduct for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and utilities up to $150 per week based on number of occupants for workers who voluntarily elect to live in employer-offered housing. Employer provides first set of uniforms at no cost to workers. Additional uniforms are available for purchase by the worker. Such purchases are optional and for the worker’s benefit. Employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other facilities. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
Transportation, Subsistence, and Fees: The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the US or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period
Tools, protective clothing, or other items: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
