Employer’s name, Geographic location and Need:
Total Asphalt Paving is looking to fill 6 Landscaping and Groundskeeping Worker positions in Macomb County, MI. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position and we are looking to fill 6 job openings for employment from 3/20/2026 to 10/30/2026.
Additional Worksites: Worksites are in MACOMB, LAPEER, ST CLAIR, WAYNE, GENESEE, LENAWEE, WASHTENAW, LIVINGSTON, OAKLAND, & MONROE counties in Michigan.
Job Description:
Duties: Edging grass off driveways or parking lots. Shoveling dirt and asphalt. Sweeping. Loading tools on and off trailers. Workers may gather and remove litter and operate powered equipment and drive company vehicles to customer locations.
Requirements:
Post-hire drug screen at employer's expense. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitive movements, extensive pushing/pulling, extensive walking, exposure to extreme temperatures.
Terms & Conditions of Employment:
$19.93/hr., at 40 hours a week, Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (schedule varies). Overtime rate of pay is at least $29.90per hour. Overtime will be available as needed. Higher pay and/or other incentives based on performance. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
Inbound Transportation:
Transportation: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment of transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of employment.
Outbound Transportation:
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
Daily Transportation:
Employer will provide daily transportation to and from worksites.
Disclosure of daily subsistence amount
Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
3/4ths guarantee not required due to 2016 Omnibus:
Three- fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Provision of tools, equipment, and supplies:
Tools, equipment and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge; all tools, supplies & equipment required to perform the job.
Single Work Week guarantee and frequency of pay:
Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due; The pay period is bi-weekly.
Statement of deductions from worker’s pay:
The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law.
Reimbursement of border, visa and related fees:
The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker.
Provision of board, lodging or other facilities
The employer will not be providing housing.
