Robert-Thomas Landscape Environments LLC is seeking to fill eight (8) temporary, full-time seasonal Landscape Laborer positions for April 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026. Worksite address: 3400 N Lapeer Rd, Oxford, MI 48371 and client properties in Oakland, Genesee, and Macomb counties in MI.
Job Duties: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, weeding, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. May drive crew vehicle. A driver’s license is not required. If a worker has a non-commercial driver’s license, they may drive a crew vehicle to worksites as needed.
Requirements: No education or experience required.
Special Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Must be able to perform physical labor outdoors for at least 8 hours per day in all weather conditions, including cold, heat, and rain.
Terms and conditions of employment: $19.93 - $25.00/hour, 40 hours/week, Overtime available at $29.90 - $37.50 per hour. Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-5:00PM. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employees will be paid bi-weekly on Friday. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. On the job training available. Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Workers will travel from the worksite address to commercial and private properties throughout Oakland, Genesee, and Macomb counties to perform services. Workers will be transported to daily worksite to client properties and will be transported back to the worksite at the end of the work day.
Employer (ER) will make all deductions from employee's (EE) paycheck required by law and no others without EE consent. If needed, ER will assist in arranging optional EE-paid lodging for hired foreign and non-local U.S. EE. ER will deduct for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and utilities based on number of occupants for EE who voluntarily elect to live in ER-offered housing, up to $100.00 per week. ER will offer daily transportation to and from the worksite from a centralized designated pick-up place at no cost to EE. Use of this transportation is voluntary. ER provides first set of uniforms at no cost to EE. Add’l uniforms are available for purchase. Such purchases are optional and for the EE’s benefit. ER may offer free lunch on Friday, as well as company events/parties throughout the season. EEs accrue sick leave at a rate of one hour / 30 hours worked up to 40 hours/year per Michigan Earned Sick Time Act.
The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the US or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Tools, equipment and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
