Metropolitan Turf Management Inc. is seeking to fill ten (10) temporary, full-time seasonal Landscaping Worker positions for March 2, 2026 to December 1, 2026. Worksite address: 69055 Slating Lane, Bruce Township, MI 48065 and multiple worksites within Macomb and Oakland Counties in MI.
Job Duties: Mowing, pruning, weeding and landscape installation. Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Spring and fall cleanup, such as removing leaves and debris from landscaping beds, pruning shrubs and perennials, removing weeds and applying mulch to landscaping beds. Spring and fall clean up tools may include rakes, blowers, shovels, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and hand pruners. May drive crew vehicles.
Requirements: No education or experience required.
Special Requirements: Must be able to perform physical labor outdoors for up to 8 hours per day in all weather conditions, including cold, heat, and rain. Some weekends required, as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Terms and conditions of employment: $19.93 /hour, 40 hours/week, Overtime available at $29.90 per hour. Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-4:30PM. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employees will be paid weekly on Friday. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. On the job training available. Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Workers will begin each day at the worksite address. They will then be transported, free of charge, to properties located throughout the area of intended employment to provide services. They will then be transported back to the worksite address at the end of each work day.
The employer (ER) will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and no others without worker (WK) consent. The ER does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Potential elective deductions to be pre-authorized in writing if applicable are as follows: If needed, ER will assist in arranging optional WK-paid lodging for hired foreign and non-local U.S. workers. At WK election, ER will either deduct for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and utilities based on number of occupants for WK who voluntarily elect to live in ER-offered housing or WK will pay housing costs directly to third-party landlord based on the terms of the lease. Voluntary advances and/or loans made to WK, if any, may be repaid by pre-authorized payroll deductions. WK accrue 1 hr pd sick leave per 30 hrs worked, max 72 hrs/yr per MI Earned Sick Time Act.
The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the US or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Tools, equipment and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
