Wolverine Special Tool is currently looking for an experienced machinist to join our team full-time in our bright and climate controlled shop as a set up and operator employee. Our CNC department specializes in job shop work, prototypes and low volume production and is currently supported by a total of 8 machines including 4 lathes & 4 mills.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain running machines
- Ability to make adjustments as needed to keep parts within tolerance
- Setup and run parts with minimal guidance
- Using a variety of inspection equipment, performing quality checks to ensure the parts are meeting customer specifications while completing inspecting forms as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills / Abilities
- 2+ years machining experience preferred
- An understanding of programming is preferred
- Ability to set up and continue quality machine productivity with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read prints
- Proficient with using various types of inspection tools/equipment during part inspection
- Strong communication skills
Requirements
- Ability to lift +40lbs
- Must be driven/motivated with a positive attitude
- Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Exceptional Punctuality
- A basic understanding of G-code
- Ability to read mics/calipers

- Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. (2) 15 minute paid breaks and a 30 minute unpaid lunch is included in this shift.
