Job Summary:
The Carpenter performs complex and skilled carpentry work on both residential and commercial construction projects, including rough framing and precision interior finishing. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, architectural drawings, and technical specifications to accurately measure, layout, and construct wood framing, ensuring compliance with building codes and structural integrity. The Carpenter is responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship through detailed finish carpentry and collaborating with project teams to ensure timely and safe project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret and apply detailed blueprints, architectural plans, and technical specifications For framing and finishing tasks.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand and power Tools, including saws, drills, routers, and nail guns.
• Construct wood framing for walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs, ensuring structural soundness and adherence to safety codes.
• Execute intricate finish carpentry, including installation of custom trim, crown molding, wainscoting, baseboards, door and window casings, cabinetry, built-in shelving,
staircases, and decorative woodwork.
• Fit joints precisely and apply wood stains, paints, varnishes, sanding, and polishing to achieve professional finishes.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, and other trades to facilitate seamless project workflow and timely completion.
• Inspect completed work to verify accuracy, quality, and safety compliance; perform Repairs or adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition; adhere strictly to all workplace safety standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional carpentry experience in residential and commercial settings. International carpentry experience desired.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
• Skilled in the use of advanced hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to superior craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and climbing.
• Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and building codes.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily on construction sites in varying weather conditions.
