Summary
2nd shift -A CNC Boring Mill Operator sets up and runs computer-controlled boring mills to machine precise holes, slots, and surfaces in metal parts by reading blueprints, loading tools, making offsets, monitoring operations, and inspecting work with precision instruments like micrometers and calipers, focusing on quality, safety, and efficiency to meet tight tolerances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be familiar with Fanuc Control systems.
- Must be familiar with making minor edits to programs “i.e. changing a tool number to match what the programmer has listed on the tool list.
- Must be familiar with reading measuring equipment “i.e. Verniers.”
- Must be able to convert inch-metric
