Job Description
Prepping and loading trucks with all necessary tools and equipment to perform landscape and maintenance of our customer’s grounds and property. Defining the work staging areas and safe zones on site. Setting up safety items including positioning cones, signs, and roping or tapping off crew work area. Keeping the job site clean. Set up, clean up and proper care of trucks and machinery. Operation of landscaping equipment including but not limited to zero turn and walk behind mower, chainsaw, blower, chipper, skid steer, and loader. Work on customer’s grounds may include but not be limited to sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking. Communicate with supervisors and other crew members. Must work as a team.
Period of employment is from April 1, 2026 to December 15, 2026, 40 hours per week. This is a full-time position. Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM, depending on weather conditions. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (as needed). The wage rate is $19.93 per hour. Overtime (for work in excess of 40 hours per week) will be paid at a rate of $29.90 per hour. All tools and equipment needed to perform the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the workers. In accordance with Michigan State Law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employer are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of sick leave paid may vary depending on the size of the business.
Work to be performed in Wayne County, Oakland County, Macomb County, Washtenaw County, Monroe County, Lenawee County, Jackson County, Ingham County, Genesee County, Lapeer County, St Clair County, Shiawassee County.
Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the work in each 12-week period of the total employment.
This job order has been placed in connection with a concurrent application for H-2B nonimmigrant temporary workers. The employer will not offer US workers anything less than the same benefits, wages and working conditions that the employer is offering or intends to offer or provide to the H-2B workers. The employer will not impose any restrictions or obligations on US workers that will not be imposed on H-2B workers. The requirements and qualifications for this position are consistent with the normally accepted qualifications and requirements for workers in the same occupation in the employer's area of employment. A single workweek will be used in computing the wages due. Wages will be paid on a weekly basis. All visas, border and other related fees will be reimbursed to the employee during the first workweek of employment. The employer guarantees to offer work equal to three-fourths of the workdays for each 12-week period of the total employment period.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place with the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported the worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances traveled. Daily meals will be provided at the rate set by the Department of Labor, currently set at, at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. The employee is responsible for daily transportation to and from the place of employment, the employer will then provide each worker with daily transportation among the worksite locations in Work to be performed in Wayne county, Oakland county, Macomb County, Washtenaw County, Monroe County, Lenawee County, Jackson County, Ingham County, Genesee County, Lapeer County, St Clair County, Shiawassee County. Employer provides transportation between company location and all worksites counties Michigan.
The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law. The employer does not intend to make deductions from the worker's paycheck which are not required by law.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform hard physical work. Must be able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often throughout the work day. Must be dependable and be able to work safely with landscape equipment (not tested, we take your word for it).
