Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should be able to obtain detailed dispatch specifications from customers, perform load planning, coordinate load assignments, monitor various shipping boards, handle administrative paperwork, monitor driver's locations, and perform accurate data entry.
- Candidate should be able to exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks as work is performed under minimal daily supervision.
- This position requires an extensive training program that will require a flexible work schedule.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- Professional and detail-oriented dispatch experience/formal training preferred, however we will provide on the job training
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service is helpful but not required
- Proficient in computers
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task
- High level of self-motivation
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Able to follow and adhere to customers procedures and corporate policies
