Role: Technical Project Manager (Java Full Stack)
Core Responsibilities
- Project Management & Delivery
o Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software projects using Agile methodology .
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource plans.
Create and manage epics, user stories, and tasks in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
- Agile Leadership
o Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
o Work with stakeholders to define functional and technical requirements .
o Provide architectural guidance for applications built on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices .
Ensure best practices in coding, design patterns, and system scalability.
Oversee cloud deployment (preferably GCP) and integration with messaging tools like Kafka .
- CI/CD & DevOps
o Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
o Work with data science teams to integrate ML models into applications.
o Act as the primary liaison between business, development, and QA teams.
o Mentor developers and guide technical decisions.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Required Skills
· Project Management: Agile/Scrum, Jira/Azure DevOps, backlog management.
· Technical: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka.
· Cloud: GCP (preferred), AWS/Azure experience is a plus.
· DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
· Good to Have: Python for ML/AI, data analytics.
The annual salary for this position is between $104,000 - $118,000 +COLA+ Bonus depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
