Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Evaluation Measurement and Research or a related field, or a foreign equivalent and a State of Michigan K-12 Administration Certification. Qualified candidates must have completed courses in educational leadership, curriculum development, evaluation, assessment and instruction; must have demonstrated coursework in language acquisition and English as a Second Language (ESL); must have demonstrated knowledge of effective school models and state-of-the-art research on techniques of teaching behaviors; must have demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills in English; must have demonstrated technological proficiency (Illuminate, Ellevation, PowerSchool); must have demonstrated professional development including designing and delivering training for staff. Additionally, qualified candidates must have at least three (3) years of post-baccalaureate experience in successful administration or classroom performance in ESL and/or world language and curriculum development, teaching, and learning.
