GS Engineering is seeking a talented and motivated electrical engineer to support our Client in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of electrical wire diagrams and aircraft Avionics requirements. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify wire harnesses diagrams and schematics (Capital Harness/Logic) utilizing industry standard practices.
- Review existing internal harnesses/schematics to verify meeting industry and vendor requirements.
- Review internal harnesses/schematics to support release of internal completions data.
- Understand and manage indented Bill of Materials (BOMs) and revision control processes.
- Interpret and adhere to Client design practices and standards.
- Incorporate required changes in a fast-paced environment to support production needs.
- Collaborate with Aircraft Leads to ensure task and release workflow requirements are met.
- Communicate potential risks associated with meeting task deadlines.
- Periodic travel as necessary.
Qualifications / Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience in a related technical field required.
- 0-4 years’ experience in design of electrical systems required.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm for excellence in technical execution and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident able to obtain a security clearance from the Department of Defense upon hiring.
