We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Engine Test Stand 1st shift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties. This role involves hands-on work with a variety of Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.
Key Responsibilities:
Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts.
Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed.
Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
Perform basic welding and fabrication.
Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma
General mechanic knowledge
1 year of experience working as an automotive mechanic, automotive tech, or a related position. Will consider candidates with an automotive repair degree/certification in lieu of experience.
Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of operating a computer.
Possession of a mechanics toolbox and hand tool set.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree, State or SAE certifications a plus.
Possess overall good fabrication skills having a high mechanical aptitude and deductive reasoning
Possess skills for MIG & TIG welding on metals including stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, and aluminum
Ability to read basic prints
Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation
