Machinist: Shoe Cell operator- Off Shift
Primary Function
Sets-up and operates all machinery within the Shoe Cell, including all fabrication and plating equipment.
Working Procedures
Works with a minimum supervision.
Must work to very close tolerances.
Operates two or more machines simultaneously, when possible.
Works from blueprints, process sheets, inspection plans, customer, company or military specifications and/or verbal instruction.
Improvises or adapts available equipment to produce parts to blueprint and process dimensions and specifications.
Keeps machines and work area clean and in good order.
Exercises good judgment and care in handling of all tools, gages, and parts that are in process.
Proficient with MP2 Datastream and TPM program.
Must have a good knowledge of and ability to apply shop mathematics.
Helps to train/instruct other employees, as required.
Participates in "continuous improvement" activities/efforts within the classification/department.
Shall be capable and shall be willing to perform all certified operator inspection requirements.

A minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in a related field to include CNC equipment and/or plating is preferred.
