Job Summary
The Environmental Cleaning Specialist is responsible for performing thorough industrial cleaning of production areas to maintain a safe, sanitary, and efficient work environment. This role involves using appropriate cleaning equipment and materials, including chemical solutions and solvents, to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards. The position is scheduled for the second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities
Perform detailed cleaning and sanitation of production areas and equipment.
Mix and apply chemical cleaning solutions or solvents according to established safety guidelines.
Operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and completed tasks.
Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure consistent cleaning quality and adherence to standards.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in industrial or environmental cleaning preferred.
Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning practices.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
Willingness to work the 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. shift and occasional overtime as needed.
