In this role, you will be responsible for refining and finishing surfaces on a variety of materials, ensuring they meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of polished, professional finishes on concrete, metal, and other surfaces, supporting our projects from fabrication to final presentation. Responsibilities
- Operate polishing equipment and tools safely to achieve smooth, high-quality finishes on concrete, metal, or other surfaces
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and sanding to ensure optimal polishing results
- Use heavy machinery such as fabrication tools, and machining equipment as needed for surface preparation
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate polishing tasks within larger manufacturing or construction projects
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality control, making adjustments or re-polishing as necessary
- Assist with other related tasks such as quality control, and different jobs as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly
- Familiarity with fabrication, and machining processes in a shop setting
- Knowledge of polishing techniques
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding material handling and storage protocols
- Ability to operate construction tools safely and efficiently in various environments
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving precise surface finishes
