Job Title: Screw Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer with experience in Swiss Style machining to join our team. Our company specializes in manufacturing small screw machine products for various industries, including ammunition, fiber optics, automotive, connectors, medical, and aerospace. We pride ourselves on being a family-owned business for over 60 years, currently in its third generation of ownership.
Responsibilities
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam).
Upload and prove out programs on Swiss machines and a Haas CNC mill.
Set up machines, select tooling, and establish work offsets and tool wear offsets.
Perform first-piece inspections to ensure quality standards.
Conduct regular machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
Troubleshoot machining issues, identify process improvements, and reduce cycle times.
Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling lists, and revision documentation.
Essential Skills
3+ years of Swiss style CNC machining and programming experience.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM programming and G-code editing.
Experience with small hand tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and scales.
Familiarity with multi-axis machining and working with tight tolerances (+/- 0.5).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machine operation and changeovers.
Familiarity with various machining processes such as threading, broaching, and milling.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milan, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
